Hartfield House is wholly owned by parent charity, Venture Trust. We are made up of three parts: Venture Mòr, an outdoor activity company providing adventure holidays across the Highlands; a large hub in the form of Hartfield House hostel in Applecross, and; a pledge to provide a springboard into the world of work for disadvantaged young adults.
Income generated through Hartfield House is ploughed into raising funds for the Venture Trust charity. The more money we raise, the more young adults Venture Trust can help to get back on their feet. So, when you book your stay at Hartfield House or you choose Venture Mòr for your next adventure, you will be putting money towards those in desperate need of your help. Simple as that! Our aim at Venture Mòr is to create adventure holidays throughout the Highlands, ranging from a taster to the outdoors, to expedition planning. Our staff have a wealth of experience in providing adventurous activity through the Venture Trust and this is a great platform on which to move Venture Mòr into the adventure tourism market.
Venture Mòr recognised that for many young unemployed people, a job in adventure tourism and hospitality could be the pathway to a more positive future. Venture Mòr recruits, trains and supports young people to learn new skills, grow in confidence and flourish in the workplace. Our goal is that these young trainees can move on to become great employees and colleagues in other organisations or go to college to continue their training. Together we share the belief that everyone, whatever their circumstances, can be supported to make and sustain positive changes in their lives.
Our Venture Mòr hub and the heart of our business is Hartfield House in Applecross. We have a loyal team who are passionate about the area and the outdoors and provide a fantastic personal service to our guests. Our hostel staff are always willing to go that extra mile in order to make your stay special and possess some exceptional skills that really make Hartfield House unique.
